Get to Bari by plane
The Bari Karol Wojtyla international airport is approximately 8km (5 miles) northwest from the town center. The airport is also known as Palese Macchie Airport after a nearby neighborhood. The airport facilities have recently been upgraded. Some airlines and domestic and international destinations (not updated) are as follows: Air One (Bologna, Genoa, Milan-Linate, Rome-Fiumicino, Turin, Venice); Alitalia (Milan-Linate, Milan-Malpensa, Rome-Fiumicino); Air Italy (Milan-Linate, Verona); British Airways (London-Gatwick); easyJet (Milan-Malpensa, Rome-Fiumicino); Eurofly (Sharm El Sheikh); MyAir (Amsterdam, Athens, Barcelona, Brussels, Bucharest-Bǎneasa, Genoa, Madrid, Paris-Charles de Gaulle); Ryanair (Bologna, Hahn, London-Stansted, Malta, Milan-Orio al Serio, Pisa); SkyEurope (Prague); TUIfly (Cologne/Bonn, Munich, Stuttgart); Belle Air (Tirana); Carpatair (Timişoara).

Just outside the airport you will find a taxi station. From the airport the trip by taxi to Bari takes around 25 minutes and should cost around 25 €. More information from the two main taxi companies: Nuova Cotaba – phone +39 080 5543333; Apulia Taxi - phone +39 080 5346666.
From the airport you can get to the railway station by bus either using the dedicated Tempesta bus or by the city bus n°16. Note that the dedicated Tempesta bus takes you to the railway station with no stops in about 25 / 30 minutes and costs € 4.15. The service timetable is connected to the flights. The city bus n°16 takes you to the railway station in about 35 / 40 minutes and costs € 0.80. The city bus 16 service starts at 5 a.m. and stops at 11 p.m. The bus frequency is about one bus every 40/ 60 minutes. You may purchase them either at "tobacco shops" that display the big "T" shield outside, or at newsagents. Tickets must be validated upon boarding the bus by stamping them in one of the yellow machines on board.
  Get to Trani by train

At the Trani Station arrive long-distance express trains (Eurostar) from Roma and Milano in the north, and from Brindisi/Lecce in the South. Please consult Trenitalia FS website fore more information

  Get to Trani by car

On the highway (autostrada) no. A14 from north (direction Foggia, Pescara) or from south (direction Taranto).

 Get to Bari by ferry

The Bari ferry port is one of the most important harbours in the region, with services to Durres, Bar, Kotor, Dubrovnik, Corfu, Patras and Igoumenitsa. For enquires call +39 080 524 4488 or visit the port website
